SNYDER, Norma (nee Schweitzer)

Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the age of 94 years. Norma, of Elmira, formerly of RR 2, Elmira, was the dear wife of the late, Wesley Snyder (1980). Beloved mother of David and his wife Jane, and Paul and his wife Linda. Loving grandmother of Nathan (Tanya), Andrea (Brian Bauman), Michelle, and Christine (Jeremy McCullough). Sweet great-grandmother (Grandma Cookies) of Ava and Beckett Wadel, Kaden Snyder, and Jordan Mahoney. Lovingly remembered by her sister, Mildred Heller and brother-in-law, George Ritter. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as her good friends. Predeceased by her daughter, Janie (1994), sisters, Vera and Ruth, several sisters and brothers-in-law, and many friends, including her former roommate, Mary Brown. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family interment will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 10 a.m., in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Norma's life and faith, will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 11 a.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, 60 Arthur St. S., Elmira.

Snyder, Jane E. - Peacefully, on Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at Victoria Hospital, London, Ont., Jane E. Snyder, in her 41^st year, of Elmira. Beloved daughter of Norma Snyder of Elmira and the late Wes Snyder, dear sister of David and Jane Snyder, Paul and Linda Snyder, all of RR 2, Elmira, aunt of Nathan and Andrea, Michelle and Christine. Janie was a faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira. She delighted in her work and friends she made at Park Avenue Wear (Wooltex) and babysitting her close friend B.J. Visitation at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Wednesday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira for funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Donald Stroh officiating, followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. In her memory, donations to St. James Lutheran Church or the Canadian Cancer Society, may be made as expressions of sympathy.
