Mrs. Mabel B. Horne of Listowel died at the age of 73 on June 22, at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Horne, daughter of the late Noah Bowman and his late wife, the former Susan Zurbrigg, was born on Nov. 8, 1905 in Kurtzville. On June 20, 1928 she married Wilfred Horne. They resided in Wallace Tp. before moving to Listowel in 1955. Mrs. Horne was a member of the Calvary United Church and Listowel Legion Ladies' Auxiliary Branch 259. Besides her husband, Mrs. Horne is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Marjorie)Hawthorne of Kitchener; six brothers Victor Bowman of British Columbia, Herbert Bowman of Ingersoll, Grant Bowman of Listowel, Almer Bowman of Atwood, Lester Bowman of Cambridge, Frank Bowman of Listowel; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Cooper of Listowel, and Mrs. James (Marjory) Donnelly of London; and 3 grandchildren, Douglas, Gary and Laurie. Besides her parents, Mrs. Horne was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.....the pallbearers were Wayne Bowman, Earl Bowman, Murray Cooper, Floyd Bowman, Bartley Bowman and Graham Bowman.

BOWMAN Lester (Les) of Langs Drive, Cambridge on Monday, October 7, 1991 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Blanche Daily, dear father of Ronald and his wife Fran of Cambridge, Marlene and her husband Bruce Heckendorn of Paris, Kathryn Bowman of Cambridge and Karen Bowman of Richmond B.C., lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Predeceased by six brothers and five sisters. He was the last survivor of his family. Mr. Bowman was born near Listowel and came to Preston in 1943. He had been employed at Hostess Food Limited, retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church and the Wandering Canadian Camping Club of Cambridge. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (today) Tuesday 2 4 and 7 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 1991 at St. Andrews United Church, 546 Montrose Street North, Cam bridge at 11:00 a.m. Interment following in Listowel Cemetery. HARVARD ARNOLD PERRIN
May 14, 1906 December 21, 1987
Born in Brantford, Ontario, he was the oldest of eight brothers and sisters born to Wellington and Emma Perrin. He moved west to the area near Cochrane, Alberta in the 1930's and in 1942 married Lillian Anne Marshall. In the spring of 1943, he moved to Dawson Creek to work on the Alaska Highway. In 1947 Harvard and Lillian started the lodge at Mile 996 known as Canyon Creek Lodge. He was predeceased by his wife in 1955.
Harvey loved the Yukon and seldom left it for very long. On one such trip in 1979, he suffered a massive stroke which paralyzed him on his right side and limited his speech. He never fully overcame his handicap. He spent seven years residing at Macaulay Lodge.
On Monday, December 21, 1987, the good Lord relieved Harvey of his pain and he passed away at Whitehorse General Hospital. Harvey is survived by sons, Marshall and family, of Terrace, B.C., and Keith and family, of Vancouver, B.C. He is also survived by sisters Ruth, Ruby, and Eva, and brothers Lloyd and Cecil of Ontario. Many other relations live in the Calgary area.
Funeral services were held December 30th, 1987 at the United Church with Reverend Don Lewis officiating. Interment followed at Grey Mountain Cemetery.

ROHR, Mrs. Chester L. (Grace) - After a lengthy illness, Grace Lillian Perrin, passed away at the K-W Hospital, on Sunday, November 5, 1978, in her 65th year.
She was a daughter of the late Wellington Perrin and the former Emma Good. With her ever ready smile, which gave rest to the weary and sunshine to the sad, she peacefully slept away.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Chester L. Rohr, of 9 Queen St. E., Conestogo, whom she married in 1937. Of this union there is six children: Patricia (Mrs. Camille Gaudet) and Marlene (Mrs. Franklin Jonas), both of Conestogo, Marjorie Martin, along with her friend, Gordon Neil of Kitchener, Bonnie (Mrs. Clifford Ziegler) of Kitchener, Rev. Clinton C. Rohr and his wife, Sandra, of Oakville, and Terrance L. Rohr and his wife, Gilla of Waterloo. She will be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren. In bereavement, Mrs. Rohr leaves four sisters and three brothers; Hilda (Mrs. Hilton Pride) of Waterloo, Eva (Mrs. William Clarke) of Kitchener, Ruth (Mrs. Leonard Kaster) of Waterloo, Ruby (Mrs. Douglas Litwiller) of Kitchener, Howard Perrin of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Lloyd of Palmerston and Cecil of Flesherton. Also survived by her aunt, Mrs. William Stockfish of Kitchener and by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Good of Sebringville.
