    GEORGE L. EICH

    George L. Eich, 76, Waterloo, died Thursday of last week at his home after an illness of several months.

    Born Aug. 28, 1880, in Mill-bank, he was a son of the late Martin Eich and the former Elizabeth Seigner.

    A resident of Waterloo for the past 40 years, he was employed by the Waterloo PUC until his retirement five years ago.

    His wife, the former Margaret Stever, survives.

    Other survivors are a son, Weldon Pommer of Elmira; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Elizabeth) Ludwig of Waterloo and Mrs. Arthur (Frieda) Bowman of Toronto; two sisters, Mrs. Mandy Johnston and Mrs. Millie Runge, both of Listowel.

    Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

    A brother and a sister predeceased him.

    The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial was in Elmira Union Cemetery.

    LUDWIG, Elizabeth G. (nee Eich) -Passed away, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, March 8, 2001, at the age of 87. Wife of the late Clarence Anthony Joseph Ludwig. Dear mother of Ron Ludwig and his wife Paula and Paul Ludwig and his wife Louise, all of Kitchener and Liz Kittel and her husband Raymond of Waterloo; cherished grandmother of Tammy and Shelley Kittel, Andrea and husband Jeff Wilson, Jason Ludwig and Kimberley and husband Harold Kump; great-grandmother of Laura and Ryan Kump and Kyle and Jessica Wilson. Predeceased by her parents, George Eich and Margaret (nee Stever); her brother, Weldon Pommer and sister, Frieda Bowman. Elizabeth was a member of St. Louis RC Parish in Waterloo and was active with the Adult Recreation Centre in Waterloo. Mrs. Ludwig's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2001 in the funeral home chapel, followed by a time of fellowship in the funeral home Reception Room. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Arthritis Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
