    MRS. ALLEN STAHL

    Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan, 5 from the Concordial Lutheran church in Lake Park for Mrs. Allen Stahl, 90, of Worthington, Minn. She died at a nursing home on Sunday, Jan. 2, The Rev. August C. Roessler officiated.

    Mrs. Stahl nee Louise Schafer was born on June 29, 1881 in Willette County [Waterloo County], Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Daniel and Gertrude Thaler Schafer, She received her schooling in Canada and at the age of seventeen she moved with her parents and family to rural May City.

    She was united in marriage with Allen L. Stahl on Dec. 20, 1904 at Sibley, la. They farmed south of Harris, then in Dodge County, Minn, and then moved back to a farm in Osceola County and lived there until 1943, when they decided to retire from farming and moved into Lake Park.

    She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ray Ihnen (Gertrude) of Lake Park, five grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Two sisters (twins) also survive, Mrs. Henry Ihnen, Lamberton, Minn. and Mrs. Harvey Donnenwerth of May City,. Ia. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one grandson, one brother and four sisters.

    Burial was in Silver Lake cemetery at Lake Park, Pallbearers were Theron Stahl, Dale Stahl, Donald Ihnen, Delbert Wiese, John Voss and Bernard Voss.
