BRYANT John Thomas \endash Passed away at the Cambridge Country Manor on Saturday, January 2nd, 1988. Tom Bryant beloved husband of the late Isabella (Bella Bertram), dear father of John "Jake" Bryant of Mississauga, also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bryant was predeceased by a son Bert and a daughter Isobel. He will be sadly missed by his family who loved and respected him very much. Mr. Bryant was born on November 25th, 1893 in Birmingham, England and came to Canada when he was 16 and finished his trade with Canada Machinery Corp. and retired from Joy Manufacturing. A member of Trinity Anglican Church and one of the last few remaining veterans of the 111th Batallion[sic] which had distinguished service in World War I and a resident of Cambridge for the past 71 years. Resting at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street where the family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday January 6th, 1988 at 1: 30 p.m. with Canon R. Birtch officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
