HE WAS A DECENT CHAP \endash Like all fellow citizens I was shocked Friday morning to learn of the sudden passing of Ed Anderson, president and general manager of T. Little and Son for the past four years with which business he had been associated since 1913. He came here from Orillia where he learned the furniture business and before that for five years was employed by the provincial government as assistant paymaster during the construction of the Timiskaming and Northern Ontario railway. Deceased suffered a heart attack a few years ago and since then had been careful and had taken life easy. He was at business on Thursday as usual, did not complain and retired that night around 10 o'clock. Early Friday morning he suffered a heart attack and while medical aid was immediately summoned he passed away before he could be removed to hospital. Ed Anderson was a top salesman, possessing a pleasing and kind disposition; was charitable, always ready and willing to assist the unfortunate and really a likeable chap. If I do say it, I doubt if anybody knew him better than we did, having met him the first day he joined the Little business and prized our associations ever since. He will be greatly missed in the city of his adoption. He was one of the deans of the city's retail section.
