  Mrs. Adam J. Mahler GALT, Mrs. Adam J. Mahler of Lowell Street North, died Sunday, at South Waterloo Hospital. She was 85. Born at Hesson, Jan. 21, 1886, she was the former Agnes Anne Haid, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Haid. She moved to Galt, in 1912. She was a member of St. Ambrose RC Church, past president of St. Patrick's Catholic Women's League, a charter member of St. Ambrose Catholic Women's League and she had been active with the girl guides. She was a former member of the Branchton Women's Institute and of the executive of South Waterloo Liberal Association. She was the former secretary-treasurer of the Lyndhurst Dairy Ltd., which now is the Valley View Creamery Ltd. Her husband, Adam, died in 1964. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bert (Kathleen) Sellner of Galt and Mrs. Wilfred (Leona) Betteridge of St. Marys; three sons, Bernard and Fred, both of Toronto and John of Oakville; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Schaller of Preston and Mrs. Eleanor Curtis of Hamilton; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by six brothers and one sister. The body is at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be recited Tuesday, at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the church, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount View cemetery.
