  Alex McLaren - Alfred Alexander McLaren of Kitchener, formerly of Drumbo passed away Thursday, December 7, 2000 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. He was in his 85th year. Born in Drumbo, he was a son of Kenneth McLaren and Annabelle Harmer. For many years Alex and his wife farmed at Drumbo. Subsequently they moved to a poultry farm east of Paris which they operated for the Dance family. Loving husband of the late Lorene Cross who predeceased him February 28, 1998. Dear father of Mary McLaren and husband Richard Burton of Ottawa and Margaret and her husband George Borenovich of Waterloo. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Aidan, Marc, Siobhan and Stuart. Predeceased by brothers James and David McLaren. Alex was a member of Willis United Church, Drumbo and was a Past President of the Drumbo Agricultural Society. Relatives and friends were received at the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville on Friday, Dec. 8th. Funeral service was conducted at the Willis United Church Sat., Dec. 9th at 2:00 p.m. Rev.
