- Alva Louis Hutchinson
PRESTON, Alva Louis Hutchinson of 160 Abraham St., died Saturday, at South Waterloo Hospital, a victim of cancer. He was 29. Born in Dashwood in 1942, he spent most of his life in Preston. He was a salesman with Wiebe Real Estate in Galt. He was a member of the church of Latter Day Saints. He was a past president and charter member of the Preston Jaycees. The day before his death, he was awarded a senatorship in the organization. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Ernest Hutchinson of Russell Point, Ohio; his wife, the former Marjory Walls; one son, Dean Scott and one daughter, Lisa Kristine both at home and one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Ruby) Sherwood of Calgary, Alta. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Park Lawn cemetery.
