Credits Her Longevity To Lots Of Hard Work

Early to bed and early to rise and nothing but hard work makes for a long and happy life. says Mrs. Annie Goodwin, who celebrated her 93rd birthday, on Tuesday.

Even at 93 she's the first to rise in the morning and has the fire going before her daughter Mrs G. Thatcher and grandson, Fraser, start their day. She keeps busy by preparing all the meals washing dishes and doing other household chores.

I had nothing but work, being the oldest of 13 children, on the farm my father owned in Waterloo county she chuckles, "There were six girls before the first boy came into our family, so we girls had to do girls had to do a lot of work outdoors". The farm where he lived during her youth was small and crowded by dense bush, she recalls.

My father hauled wood by teams to Guelph she said and it would take him a whole day to complete the trip. I never went with hime on those trips I enjoyed driving the horses..working on the farm more …

      "of course ….. was much….

Waterloo county and as a member of the Wellington county CNIB will attend their annual Christmas party which is to take place next week. That is an event) she rarely misses, her daughter explained,
