- Gone to Her Rest
After three years of patient suffering, death came very gently to Annie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webster, on Tuesday morning, the final dissolution taking place without a struggle. Miss Webster was bright, amiable girl, who even during her illness bore up bravely and tried to cheer her sorrowing friends. Three years ago she contracted congestion of the lungs, which gradually developed into consumption. As is the case with most victims of this disease, Miss Webster was comparatively well and very low by turns. Last summer she was so much improved that she went away for a couple of month's, to visit with friends. About two weeks ago she was taken so ill, that she had to give in and keep to her bed; day by day she grew weaker and at 7: 30 ,on Tuesday morning passed, peacefully away, with every assurance that her Saviour's promise "Come unto me ye weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest" would in her case be fully realized. Before sickness came upon her, Annie Webster, was one of the brightest girls in town and none had a larger circle of friends, than she. Possessed of a good voice, she sang for a long time in the Methodist church choir and was a regular attendant of that church. Although it was known for some time that her demise was but the question of a few months, the blow is none the less keenly felt by her family. She was a dutiful, helpful daughter and a loving sister. With sincere feelings of sorrow, we extend our sympathy to the bereaved family, in their affliction. The funeral takes place tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Service will he held at the house; interment, at the Preston cemetery.
