  Arlie Schmitt Kitchener, Ontario - Jun 7, 1918 \endash Aug 30, 2015 Schmitt, Arlie (Arletta) It is with sorrow and celebration that we announce the peaceful passing at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday August 30, 2015 of Arlie Schmitt in her 98th year following a brief illness. Arlie was predeceased by her parents Fred and Eva Clarke and by her husband Ted in 1991, brother Gordon Clarke (Audrey) and sister-in-law Addie. She is survived by brothers Kenneth (Marna) and Stanley Clarke. She is survived by nieces and nephews Bruce (Marion) Ron (Laura) Schmitt, Jeffrey (Annikka), Bruce (Karen) Clarke, Maryanne Themistocleous, Susan Schmitt, and Gwen (Joe) Schermaul. Arlie was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and a proud long term employee of the T. Eaton Company. Arlie was a skilled quilter and knitter. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, ON N2G 1C7 on Wednesday September 2, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be in the funeral home chapel on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. (Access to the funeral home during construction is by Wellington Street.) As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church Kitchener or the Canadian Cancer Society.
