Notes: Arthur Manuel Hall, of Kitchener, Ontario, was born in England. He was married to Helena Carter. He enlisted on 15 December 1915 with the 118th Battalion and transferred to the 1st Canadian Battalion. He was killed in action on 9 December 1917 at Passchendaele and buried at Ablain-St. Nazaire. Private Hall was survived by his wife and seven children. Two of his sons, Arthur Montague Hall and Frederick Charles Hall, served in the same battalion. This information was noted on his soldier information card in the Grace Schmidt Room. The photograph incorrectly identified him as Private James Hall.
