  DEMPSEY, Benjamin C. Of the Golden Years Nursing Home, Preston Cambridge, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Monday April 21, 1975, Benjamin C. Dempsey. Beloved husband of the late Jessie Winger; dear father of Marjorie (Mrs. Martin J. Lester) of Kitchener. Mr. Dempsey was born in Parkhill and had been a resident of Preston for 65 years where he owned and operated his own tinsmith business; a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Preston and past executive of the Woodmen of the World and a former councillor of Preston. Mr. Demspey is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ellen Martin of Hamilton, 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; predeceased by one son, Ben and two daughters, Violet and Martha. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner Queenston Road and Argyle Street, Preston until noon Thursday, then to Knox Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
