    • DIPPEL, Bessie - 1911-2007. Passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007, after a very brief illness. Bessie Catherine (Schneider) Dippel, of Kitchener, formerly of Listowel, at the age of 95. Wife of the late Roy Dippel. Beloved mother of Leon Schneider and his wife Jean of Fordwich, and Doug Dippel, and Carol Joseph and her husband Don, all of Kitchener; loving grandmother of Laurie Myer (David), Kathy Gordier (Bryan), Donna Luelo (Greg), Kevin Joseph, David Joseph, and Bruce Ruttan, and Nana of Bradley and Trevor Ruttan, Danielle and Mackenzie Myer, Matthew and Michael Gordier and Madeleine and Eric Luelo. Predeceased by parents, John and Margaret Schneider, and by her grandchildren, Peggy (Schneider) Ruttan and Bryan Schneider. Bessie enjoyed many years of fellowship as a member of Calvary United Church in both Listowel and Kitchener. She was a lifelong member of the Peace Women's Institute in Listowel. She curled for many years in Listowel, and has been an avid bowler with her many senior friends at Victoria Bowlerama in Kitchener for the last 20 years. Bessie loved to spend many hours on her crafts and quilting. She also enjoyed camping for many years at Pine Valley in Rockwood, where she made many friends. Resting at the Eaton Funeral Home, 385 Main St. W., Listowel, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19 at 11 a.m. Rev. Terry Dunseith and Rev. George Sims officiating. Spring interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. In Bessie's memory, donations made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. On-line condolences may be left at eatonfuneralhome.ca.
