  Longtime Waterloo Region lawyer was a 'positive, cheerful' man KITCHENER The sudden death of criminal lawyer Brad Dempster on Tuesday left many of his colleagues mourning a peer and friend. Dempster, 56, who practised law for nearly three decades in Waterloo Region, was found dead in a Kitchener home. "He was the most positive, cheerful man, a joy to work with," said fellow criminal lawyer Stephanie Krug......"He was a man of keen intelligence and vision, and saw the need for change," Jewett said. He will be sadly missed by his children Graeme, Gregory and Rachel Dempster and by their mother Lisa Benoit. Beloved son of Barbara and Ron Dempster. Loving brother of Valerie (George), Suzanne (Ernesto) and Scott (Karen). Uncle Brad will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Our deepest appreciation to Rafeena Singh for her unwavering devotion. Colleagues and clients will remember his passion and dedication. Brad's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Sunday August 10, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
