Notes - NEFF, Douglas Allan - Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Christina (nee McFarlane Salton) Neff for 65 years. Loving father to Margaret Ellen and the late David Neff (December 2007). Brother of Bob, Mary and Sylvia. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Margaret Ellen (nee Stewart) Neff and his brothers, Donald and Arthur. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug was a graduate of the University of Waterloo. He spent a few years overseas during the Second World War, as an air force officer. Throughout his life he was engaged in several business opportunities which allowed him to spend time travelling to many different countries. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Doug's life will take place at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 1 p.m. Rev. Wray Stone officiating. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Kinsmen Centre or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by Doug's family (cards available at the funeral home).
