  Edmund J. LaFortune PRESTON, Edmund Joseph LaFortune, 1014 Vine St., died today at South Waterloo Hospital. He was 64. Born in Detroit in 1907, he came to Preston, 37 years ago, from Simcoe. He was a customs appraiser for 38 years, before retiring in 1968. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church and of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, the former Agnes Wilkins; two daughters, Colleen of Preston and Mrs. Wesley (Joan) Mason of Hamilton; two brothers, Herman of Simcoe and Gordon Patrick of New Orleans and one sister, Mrs. John (Ella) Schmid of Cayuga and three grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited Thursday, at 7 p.m. Removal will be made to the church for mass, at 10 a.m., Friday.
