    • HARTUNG, Elverne, Lincoln - On Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1992, Elverne Hartung, went Home to be with his Lord, after a courageous battle with cancer.

      He resided at R.R. 2, Baden. He was born in Petersburg 65 years ago, a son of the late Gordon and Veronica (nee Boshart) Hartung. He had worked for the City of Waterloo for 42 years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. He enjoyed gardening as his hobby.

      Loving companion of Rose (Waechter) Lamka. Dear brother of Marcella and her husband Ezra Berg of Waterloo and Eileen Hartung of New Hamburg.

      Also survived by a sister-in-law, Frances Hartung of Stratford and a number of nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by Paul, Florence, John and Christine Snyder of R.R. 2, Baden. Predeceased by one brother, Nile.

      Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Thursday, Oct. 15, 1992 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Friday transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg for the service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ronald Leonard officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
      As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
