  Gavin Barbour - By Record Correspondent Crosshill, Dec. 21 - Word has been received here of the death of Gavin Barbour, who passed away at his late residence at Edmonton, Alta., last night. The deceased who was about 69 years of age, took up residence in the west ten years ago where he held the position of inspector of packing plants. He was prominent in Junior Farmer circles. The late Mr. Barbour was born in Crosshill where he lived most of his life. While he resided here he was a member of the Boyd church, where he acted as choir leader and elder, taking an active part in the work of the church. Surviving are his widow, the former Minnie Coote, one daughter, Helen at home, one brother, Cecil Barbour of Wellesley, clerk of Wellesley township. Mr. Barbour will leave for the west tonight.
