      Of 145 Schlueter St., Cambridge, on Friday, Feb. 1, 1991, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Nellie Barber; dear father of Wayne and his wife Mary Ann, Betty Ann Dougherty and Jane (Mrs. Garry Robinson), all of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Troy Reynolds, Carol Ann Achtymichuk, Sandy Robinson, Clint and Lori Lynn Rathwell. Also survived by one great-granddaughter, Katharine Achtymichuk; one sister, Mrs. Ruby McMullen of Guelph; one step-son, Andrew Barber; four step-daughters, Olive (Mrs. Adam McMurran), Laura (Mrs. Dick Tone), Mrs. Freda Mather, all of Cambridge and Ina (Mrs. Bruce DeBeaul) of Ridgeway. Several step-grandchildren and step-great-grand-children. Dearly loved by his cousin, Jack Rathwell, of Guelph. Predeceased by his mother and father, Jessie and Joseph Rathwell; his first wife, Maisie Breen (1961). Mr. Rathwell was born in Paisley and came to Cambridge in 1941. He was a retired Region of Waterloo Pump House operator, retiring seven years ago. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch 126 and a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCAF. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral home, 586 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Monday, Feb. 4, 1991, at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery.
