  HILBORN, George Thomas (Blackie) - Suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday December 18, 1997 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Helen Hilborn. Loving father of Sandra Poll and her husband Earl, Carol Hilborn, Deborah Hilborn and Michael Hilborn and his wife Lori all of Cambridge. Cherished grandfather of Valerie, Wendy, Jeffery and his wife Julie, Vanessa, Kristen and great-grandfather to Connor, Jessica and Jenna. Dear brother of Marion West and Verna Peer both of Cambridge. Predeceased by his sister Beatrice Hennesey. Cpl. George T. Hilborn (Blackie) was a veteran of World War II serving in the Manitoba Dragoons and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 (Preston). Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
