  Obituary of Gertrude Bruder Passed away peacefully at her residence, RR 1, Ariss, on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the age of 92 years. Gertie Bruder was the beloved wife for 55 years of the late Wilfred J. Bruder (1998). Loved mother of Jack (Donna) of Manitoulin Island, Theresa (Tom) Pickering of Kitchener, Dorothy (Jerry) Hinschberger of Waterloo, Fred (Liz) of Ariss, Francis (Barb) of Fergus, Charles (Sharon) of Elora, the late Wilfred Jr. (Cathy) of Guelph, and Gloria (Dave) Bolger of Ariss. Lovingly remembered by her 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Also remembered by her brother Robert Fehrenbach of Maryhill, sisters-in-law Patricia Fehrenbach and Helen Kurtz, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Annie (Ertel) Fehrenbach, two grandchildren, a great-grandson, her sister Lorraine Weiler, a sister in infancy, and her brothers Herb, Lorne, Jerome, and John. Gertie was born and raised in New Germany (Maryhill) and farmed with her husband in Ariss for 67 years. She was a 50 year member of St. Boniface CWL. She loved playing cards, going to bingo on Tuesdays, and watching her many favourite TV shows. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers offered at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface RC Church, 1355 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Ron Voisin officiating. Interment to follow in St. Boniface RC Cemetery, Maryhill. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Boniface Church or Groves Hospital Foundation, Fergus, would be appreciated by the family. Service Summary Visitation: Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers offered at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. ~ Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. St. Boniface RC Church, 1355 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill.
