  SCHEDEWITZ, Hilbert "Bert" - Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe. Bert Schedewitz, age 88 years of Simcoe, formerly of Kitchener. Beloved husband of Marion (Wood) Schedewitz. Dear father of Ross and Sylvia of Sharon, Mark and Brenda of Waterloo, Ross and Kathy Wood of Simcoe. Lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Earl and Gwen of Kitchener and fondly remembered by three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Edna Schedewitz; his son, Stewart (2003) and his brother, Oscar (1960). Bert was a veteran of the Second World War. A Memorial Service for family and friends to celebrate Bert's life will be held at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Simcoe, on Saturday, June 21st at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ron Mohr officiating. There will be no funeral home visitation. A family interment has taken place in Elmira Union Cemetery. In his memory, donations to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Building fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy and may be obtained by calling the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira (519) 669-2207.
