• Notes

  Philipsburg - An extraordinary and very sudden fatality occurred on Saturday afternoon, April 4th, when Idella, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eidt, was on her any home from the village store. She was accompanied by one of her cousins, and had in her mouth a small wooden tube with a rubber attachment which accidently lodged in her larynx, and before assistance arrived, life was extinct. Idella was of a cheerful disposition and will be greatly missed by her school mates and friends. She was eleven years old, less ten days, and a gloom is cast over the whole community by such an untimely death. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock p.m. from her late residence to Oelzel's cemetery.
