  Battler, Ivan W. - Suddenly, at his home, on Monday, July 8, 2002, in his 83rd year. Will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife, Betty (nee Wolfe) for 53 years. A wonderful dad and friend to Brian and his wife Karen and Wayne and his wife Brenda; cherished grandpa of Melissa, Katie, Andy and Sarah; brother of Bertha Aukland and Reginald and his wife Evelyn Battler. Predeceased by his sister, Ethel Battler and his brothers, Elmer, Ewart, Ross, Manson and Lloyd. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W., Kitchener today (Wednesday) 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Doon Presbyterian Church, 35 Roos St., Kitchener on Thursday at 2 pm, Rev. Angus Sutherland officiating. Reception at the church to follow.
