Notes - WILLIAMS, Jane Jolly (nee Durward) - Known to her family and friends as Jean, peacefully on May 20, 2008 at Fairview Mennonite Home. Jean was a long time resident of the Cambridge area having been born in Preston, Ontario, she will be lovingly remembered by son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Jennifer Williams of St. Catharines; sister, Frances Brown; nephew, David Durward and his wife Barbara; and niece, Susan Durward all of Cambridge as well as grand-nieces, Christine, Alison and Heather. She was predeceased by her brother, David. Jean dedicated her life to the care and comfort of others as a professional nurse at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and latterly with Galt Metal and Walker Industries in Cambridge. The family is particularly proud of her distinguished service as a nursing sister with the Canadian Army in the United Kingdom during the Second World War. Jean was a long time member of Knox's Presbyterian Church in Cambridge where she will be fondly remembered for her many contributions in the nursery and special events. The family is grateful to the management and staff at both Stirling Heights and Fairview Mennonite homes who cared so well for Jean these past months. According to Jean's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street in Cambridge on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Knox's Presbyterian Church in Cambridge would be appreciated by the family. www.corbettfuneralhome.ca
