  MITCHELL, Janis Eleanor (nee Gehman) Peacefully, at the Mitchell Family Home, on Saturday, May 7, 2016, born on December 3, 1938. Janis was in her 78th year. Loved wife, soulmate and best friend to the late Robert "Bob" (August 1, 1998); who married in 1957. Raised a city girl, Janis instantly became a true and dedicated farmer's wife and mother raising their five children; Kimberley (Dan) Michiels, Brad, Trisha (Mark) Robb, Sandra (Brad) Lennox, and Robin (Mike) Ward. Janis leaves behind a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Helen (Floyd) Schaefer, Lang (Ruth) Gehman and Ron Gehman; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Shirley Mitchell and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service will be held at the Mitchell Farm. Donations to the Fort McMurray Fire Relief through the Red Cross would be appreciated.
