REIS, John

Passed away at Lakeshore General Hospital in Montreal, on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the age of 87. Predeceased by his beloved wife Emelia Melo (2000), and his two infant sons Manuel and Antonio. Cherished father of Maria Celeste Reis, Cordeiro and son-in-law Joao Cordeiro. John will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda), Bradley (Ashley), and Joshua, his great-grandchildren Vienna and Jackson, and extended family and friends. John was the first Portuguese butcher, in Cambridge. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
