Notes - ZUPA, Laimonis -Passed away peacefully at Trinity Care Village in Kitchener on Sunday, January 2, 2005, 85 years of age. Laimonis Zupa was born on February 16, 1919 in Latvia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maija Zupa; his daughters, Silvija Smith and Ingrid Diamond. He will also be remembered by his sister, Daina in Latvia. Papa will be lovingly remembered by his grandsons, Todd and Wilson. Predeceased by his father, Rudolph in Latvia and mother Berta in Siberia. Laimonis retired in 1982 after 32 years with Ontario Hydro. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave., Kitchener. Rev. Robert Bugbee officiating. Reception in the Church Hall to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Village Care Center would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy by the family and can be made by contacting the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel, 51 Benton at Church Street Kitchener (742-4481).
