- Striecher, Lucina, daughter of David and Katherine (Gascho) Jantzi, was born in Wilmot, Minn., Mar. 24, 1900; died at St. Mary's Hospital on Feb. 25, 1974; aged 73 y. 11 m. 1 d. On Jan. 17, 1923, she was married to Samuel Lichti, who preceded her in death on Apr. 1, 1937. On June 22, 1963, she was married to Christian Striecher. Surviving are her husband, one son (Orval), 3 daughters (Elsie-Mrs. Erven Lebold, Esther-Mrs. Lorne Roth, and Elenor*-Mrs. Harold Zehr), 10 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one brother (Menno Jantzi), and 4 sisters (Katherine-Mrs. Daniel Schwartz, Lydia, Barbara-Mrs. Samuel Roth and Mrs. Aaron Albrecht). She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. She was a member of the Crosshill Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held on Feb. 28, in charge of Steve Gerber and Ervin Erb.

Of 31 David St., Wellesley, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, the former Lucina Jantzi, born in Wilmot, Minn., 73 years ago, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Jantzi; wife of Rev. Christian Streicher; dear mother of Orval Lichty of Route 2, Wellesley, Elsie (Mrs. Erven Lebold) of Wellesley, Esther (Mrs. Lorne Roth) of Route 2, Wellesley, and Eleanor (Mrs. Harold Zehr) of Route 3, Elmwood; sister of Menno Jantzi of Au Gres, Mich., Katherine (Mrs. Daniel Schwartz) and Lydia Jantzi, both of Au Gres, Mich., Barbara (Mrs. Samuel Roth) of Baden, Emma (Mrs. Aaron Albrecht) of Standish, Mich.; also survived by 10 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren; predeceased by her first husband Samuel S. Lichty, April 1, 1937; also by one son, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. At noon Thursday, Feb. 28, the remains will be removed to the Maple View Mennonite Church for the service at 2:30, Rev. Steven Gerber officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
