  MERTZ, Mae Of Laurel Street, Cambridge, on Saturday, Nov. 20, 1993, at her residence, in her 83rd year. Mae Simmers, dear mother of Donald and Elizabeth (Mrs. Ambrose MacDougall), both of Cambridge: loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: dear sister of Herbert Simmers of Cambridge. Predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Robert (Mike). Mrs. Mertz was born in Cambridge (Preston) and lived there all her life. She was a longtime employee of Savage Shoes Ltd.. retiring 17 years ago. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, a Sunday school teacher and choir member. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Monday) 2-4 and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. John's Church, 567 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1993, at 1: 30 p.m., with Rev.
