  Fullarton A very pretty and fashionable wedding took place Wednesday Sept. 27th at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. William Byers, of Fullerton, when their fourth daughter, Matilda, was united in marriage to Elias Playford, of Wellesley. Amid a profusion of asters and the sweet strains of Mendelssohn's Wedding March played by Mrs. Ben Playford, the bride was ushered into the parlor, where the Rev. Mr. Bradley performed the ceremony in the presence of about 60 invited guests. The bride was handsomely attired and looked very pretty in a dress of white trimmed with lace, and ribbons, carrying a bouquet of white asters, interspersed with pink begonias. Miss Rachel Kraemer acted as maid of honor and was attired in white, trimmed with white chiffon, also carrying white asters. The two little nieces of the bride, the Misses Lizzie Jackson and Pearl Chowen acted as flower girls, dressed in white organdie, trimmed with lace and ribbon. After the wedding supper was partaken of and the happiness of the bride and groom proposed and hartily honored, (the bride attired in a beautiful travelling suit of venetian finished sedan of fawn color, trimmed with blue taffoda silk) with a large number of the guests, repaired to the station and amid showers of rice they took the train for Toronto to spend their honeymoom. The bride is one of the most highly esteemed young ladies in Fullarton where she is greatly beloved for her noble and Christian character and many fine qualities. Mr. Playford is a prosperous farmer of Wellesley and bears a very high character.
