Notes - CROWDER, Merlin Allan - Passed away, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, March 5, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 54 years to Fern (nee Runions). Loving father of Cheryl Goff and Dwight Crowder, both of Listowel. Cherished grandfather of Rosa Lee Crowder of Guelph. Dear brother and brother-in-law of John (Irene), Nellie Orr, Lila (Edward) Vine, Myrtle Crowder, Rella Crowder and Myrtle Crowder. Merlin will be fondly remembered by his nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Bert and Edith Mae Crowder; brothers, Henry, Charlie, Delbert, Jim, Walter, Ross, Carson and Freddie (in infancy); sisters, Della, Ina and Leila (in infancy) and his son-in-law, Ron Goff. Merlin was a dedicated employee for 38 1/2 years to Dominion Rubber (Uniroyal Goodrich) retiring in 1989. He was a member of Kitchener Gospel Temple and the United Rubber Workers, Local 80. Merlin's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519-749-8467) today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service for Merlin will be held at Kitchener Gospel Temple (9 Conway Dr. Kitchener) on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
