    • N. S. Fleischauer Called by Death Spent Many Years in Business in Stratford and District

      Norman S. Fleischauer, who for the past four years has been associated with Pfeffer and Company in Stratford and who some years ago was in the lumber business here himself, passed away in the hospital yesterday at about 12: 15 am after a three months illness. Mr. Fleischauer was in his 62nd year. He was born in Mornington Township near Milverton, the son of the late Otto Fleischauer and Mary Schneider. After some time in the lumber business in Stratford, he moved to Wellesley 30 years ago where he conducted a sawmill and furniture and undertaking business. He returned to Stratford about four years ago and up until the time of his illness he was actively employed. In 1900 he married Lily Dierlamm of Stratford who predeceased him five years. He was a member of the Centennial United Church and was affiliated with Wellesley Lodge Canadian Order of Foresters. He is survived by a son Wynfed Fleischauer of Kitchener, two daughters, Mrs. James Nisbet, Baden and Mrs. H. P. Smale, Chicago, Ill. Three sisters also survive. They are Mrs. S. Schlimmer, Stratford and Mrs. R. Livingstone and Miss A. L. Fleischauer, both of Hamilton. There are eight grandchildren. The funeral service will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Greenwood Funeral Home. Interment will be made in Avondale Cemetery. Rev. E. E. Pletch of Centennial United Church will conduct the service.
