- Galt Regiment Suffers
29th Regiment Has Lost Several Men Since Departure from Canada.
The 29th Regiment of Galt, for its strength at the front, has probably suffer more than any other Canadian regiment fo the first contingent. Lieut. Ross D. Briscoe of Galt was accidently killed at target practice at Salisbury Palin, while Corporal John Thomas McMaster was killed at the front, and two men from the 29th are now in hospital wounded.
Private Bobby Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Park, 160 Forest road is the latest to be reported wounded in the casualty list. He is confined to the Canadian Military Hosptial at Shorncliffe suffering from gunshot wounds on the leg and hand. he is about 20 years of age and while born in Scotland, had lived in Galt four years. He was orderly to Captain Thomas Lockhart, who was in charge of the Galt detachment of the 1st Battalion. "Bobby: Park was better known in football circles in Galt having played centre forward with the Caledonian Football team, and was its chief goal-getter.
