  DEWBURY, Roy Allan - At Southampton Care Centre, on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the age of 81 years, Roy Dewbury of Port Elgin and formerly of Kitchener. Beloved husband and best friend of the former Dorothy McCulloch. Loving father of Carole McInnis of Wingham, Edythe and her husband John Ferguson of Kitchener, stepfather of Laurie and her husband Mike Reeve of Kitchener, and Judy and her husband Gary Moore of Kitchener. Poppa will be missed by his six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren. Brother of Art and his wife Jean, Fred and his wife Marion, Bob and his wife Doris, Lois, Kathy, and Bruce and Pauline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Bill and Alexia Dewbury; his brother, Jack (Yogi), and his sister-in-law, Marjory Dewbury. Roy enjoyed his retirement in Port Elgin after working for Surrey Place Apartments in Kitchener for 20 years. Roy served in the Canadian Army during and after the Second World War. He was an avid fisherman and pool player. Roy and Dorothy enjoyed 35 happy years of marriage. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2-4 to and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008. Funeral will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating. Interment Harriston Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Port Elgin Medical Clinic or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
