  THOMAN, Clarence R. At the Ford Hospital, Detroit, Mich., on Monday, March 27, 1978, after a brief illness, Clarence R. Thoman of 9000 East Jefferson Ave., Detroit, Mich., aged 70 years. Mr. Thoman was born in Waterloo, a son of the late Russell Thoman and the former Luella Weiderholt. He was employed as a representative of the Educational Department of the International Union of the United Auto Workers, he retired in 1975. A member of the board of directors of the Ferndale Labor History Society and the Ferndale Lodge, AF and AM, number 506. He is survived by his wife, the former Esmeralda Toomey; and by his two sisters, Mrs. Margaret McGowan and Roberta Thoman, both of Kitchener and a brother, Robert, also residing in Kitchener. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Funeral and committal service in the chapel Thursday, at 11 a.m., with Rev. A. Ward Woolner officiating.
