- MCCRORY, Stanley Emmett - Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, July 10, 2009, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Helen McCrory (nee Jemmett) for 61 years. Dear father of Donald and Joan McCrory of Peterborough, Russell and Debra McCrory of Kitchener and Sandra and Douglas Devins of Brussels. Beloved Poppy of Sarah and Evan McCrory, Jessica and Janelle McCrory, Jordan (Catherine), Brian and Eric Van Veen. Great-grandfather of Ayden Van Veen and Farah Van Veen. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Daniel McCrory. Emmett will be missed by many other family and friends. Emmett was born and raised in Timmins. During the Second World War, Emmett served in the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division as a Signalman, RCCS "N" Section. He worked for Revenue Canada in Kitchener for 18 years. Emmett was a faithful attendant of Bethel Chapel, Waterloo for 40 years. Emmett's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with a reception to follow. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
