  LEIS, Sydney S. -- Suddenly on Wednesday, March 18, 1981, at his home, Sydney S. Leis of 38 Alfred St., Linwood. Mr. Leis was born in Wellesley township, 73 years ago. Son of the late Joseph Leis and the Magdalena Schwartzentruber. He farmed in Wellesley township retiring in 1967. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood. He was also active in the North Waterloo Horseshoe League. Beloved husband of the former Florence Campbell of Linwood; dear father of Lorne of Elmira, Walter of RR 1, Linwood, Stanley of Linwood, Mabel (Mrs. William Ogram) of Linwood, Doris (Mrs. Clayton Lotz) of RR 2, Wellesley; dear brother of Elmer Leis of London, Ont., Edith (Mrs. Wm. Jantzi ) of Kitchener. Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife, the former Maud Schlueter, July 12, 1971; and also by four brothers and five sisters. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley after 7 p.m. this evening. At noon Saturday, March 21, the remains will be removed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, for the funeral service at 2: 30 Rev. James Mitchell will officiate.
