    • A-1-68 Adam Braun: Letters of Administration granted to the Estate of Adam Braun, late of the Village of Bridgeport, in the Township of Waterloo, Shoemaker, deceased, granted to his widow, Margaret Braun, on her giving proof that her said husband died intestate on or about the eleventh day of April, One thousand eight hundred and fifty five, and on her giving Bond and security for her due Administration to said Estate, herself and two sureties. - Error[sic]

      Probate of Will granted by Wm Judge, Esquire of this Court, on the nineteenth day of April 1855, to the Last Will of Adam Braun, formerly of the Village of Bridgeport…on the prayer of his widow Margaret Braun on her giving proof that her said husband hath departed life on or about the eleventh day of the same month, and the Will being proven by Philip Diefenbacher, one of the Witnesses, to be the true Will of the said deceased, the same being written in the German language, the certified Translation reading as follows:

      Last Will and Testament of Adam Braun of Bridgeport. Bridgeport the 2 March 1851. Whereas I am as yet in health and good understanding, so shall this be my last Will. In the name of God, my wife a born Thomasing, born Brown[sic] shall, after my death be sole Executrix as long as she is my widow. She buy and sell in accordance as I do my property shall be taken up in case something remains over after that my children are educated then they shall equally divide one have as much as the other. Executors shall be Charles H. Ahrens, Justice of the Peace for my children. In case my wife intermarries again she shall be dealt with according to law and my children have the right to live in my dwelling until they are on maturity and it suits them to move away. In particular shall care be taken that they are well educated and receive good learning. This I wish in the name of God.
