  IRVING, Thomas Linton We are sad to announce the passing of a wonderful and loving man. Tom passed away Thursday night (July 31, 2003) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on September 16, 1930, in Puslinch Township. Tom worked as a mason contractor, in the Cambridge area, for 35 years. He then joined the Trades Training Department at the Guelph Correctional Centre, until his retirement. Tom was proud to have been a member of the Preston Kinsmen Club and more recently, the Preston-Hespeler Probus Club. He made the most of his 72 years with us. Tom enjoyed boating, travelling and just having fun, with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret; his daughter, Brenda; son-in-law, Derek; his brother, Norm and sister, Rosemary McTavish. Visitation will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Monday, August 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at 7: 00 p.m., at Knox Preston Presbyterian Church, 132 Argyle Street, Preston.
