  MIRANDA, Virginia Amelia Born on August 13, 1915, in St. Miguel, Açores, passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 98 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband Henrique Miranda in 1985. Loving mother of Manuel (Teresa) and Alda Medeiros (Nicolau). Cherished grandmother of Michael Miranda, Linda Evans (Scott), Gary Miranda, Patricia Cordeiro, Sandra Medeiros and Helder Medeiros; great-grandmother of Elias, Christian, Ava, Taylor, Chloe, Nelson, Andrew, Melanie, Brianna and Joshua. Will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in Açores and Canada. Predeceased by her sisters; Maria Do Carmo and Conceicao. Family will receive friends and relatives at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge, Ontario on Friday, February 21, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Friday evening, at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
