      The first mention of this man is found in a marriage notice in the Dumfries Reformer of October 19, 1853, stating that Dr. W. H. Bayly of New Hamburg had been married in Blenheim. On January 13, 1858 from the same source was a report that he had been granted a licence to practice. According to Smith's Directory of 1857-8, he was located in New Hamburg, but no further information regarding him has been found.
