Notes - Bowditch, Frederick Thomas - Peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday January 6, 2009 in his 92nd year. Loving and devoted husband of Joan. Cherished father of Phyllis Hussey (Freeman), David, Lesley Harrington (Glenn), and Simon (Dorothy). Special grandfather of Sherri-Ann, Terri-Lynn, Kerri-Lee, Lori-Jane, Jacqueline, Jason, Stephanie, Christopher, Kimberley, Andrew and Meredith as well as 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also survived by one sister Joan Fisher of Mass., U.S.A. Fred will also be missed by Janice. Predeceased by his sister Molly of England. Fred was a C.S.M. with the Highland Light Infantry, as well as a member of the Parachute Club of Canada and the British Airborne Forces Association. He was a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Mocha Temple of London as well as a Mr. Jump Rope for the Heart & Stroke Foundation for many years. Fred also received the Quality of Life Award from the YMCA. A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, on Friday January 16, 2009 at 11a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
