  Lorne J. Curnoe Lorne J. Curnoe passed away suddenly on May 29,1996 at the Queensway General Hospital, Etobicoke, Ontario. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Edgar). Loving father of William and his wife Joy and Lorna Curnoe Munro. Dear grandfather of Megan and Scott Munro. Predeceased by one brother, two sisters and a nephew, all of London. Lorne, vitally interested in education, held various teaching positions in Perth, Ridgetown, Collingwood and Owen Sound before moving to Etobicoke in 1950. Prior to retiring he had been a Secondary School Superintendent for many years with the Etobicoke Board. Through his wife, Mary, Lorne had been connected with the Ayr community for over fifty years. They attended many family and area functions with Cameron and the late Margaret Edgar and Bob and Bonnie Edgar. A service of Remembrance was held at Islington United Church on May 31, 1996.
