  DENYES, Walter Of 21 Ven Lomond Place, Hamilton, Ont., Sunday, June 22, 1980, at the Chedoke-McMaster Hospital, Hamilton, in his 88th year, Walter Denyes, loved husband of Lavina Ashley. Dear father of Douglas and Doreen (Mrs. Hugh McKerracher) of Hamilton; also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Denyes was born in Odessa, Ont. and had been a resident of Preston, for 59 years, before moving to Hamilton two years ago. He was a civil engineer, employed with the Eastern Steel Products Ltd. of Preston, for a number of years. A member of St. Paul's United Church, Preston Masonic Lodge, former commissioner of the Preston Public Utilities Commission and was a former member of the Preston Town Planning. Graduate of Queen's University. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, for private funeral service, Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Park Lawn cemetery.
