    • Mrs. Laura E. Ahrens

      Mrs. Laura Emmons Ahrens, 90, widow of Charles D. Ahrens, died yesterday at the K-W Hospital after a lingering illness. She was born at Fredericksburg, Ohio, Dec. 20, 1858, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hirschy. She resided at 276 Louisa St., Kitchener. Her husband predeceased her Sept. 14, 1937.

      Mrs. Ahrens attended the Church of the Good Shepherd and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society; Independent Dorcas "Society and Order of the Eastern Star.

      Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Shupe, Miss Florence Ahrens; a son, Frederick H., and two grandchildren. All reside in Kitchener.

      The body is resting at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home, where-a-public-funeral will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in Wood- land Mausoleum. Rev. D. Johnson will officiate.
