  Michael Ilkow As the result of a car accident, Thursday, Nov. 18, 1971, near Milton, Ont., Michael Ilkow, beloved husband of Irene Bukieda, of 550 Eagle St., Preston, in his 60th year. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, until Monday morning, then to St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Eagle St., Preston, for funeral mass at 9 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 19 Nov 1971 pg 25 Preston man killed in 401 crash MILTON, A Preston man was killed Thursday, when his car went out of control four miles west of here, on Highway 401, went down an embankment and struck Halton County Road 9 overpass abutment. Dead is Michael Ilkow, 59, of 550 Eagle St., Preston. Mr. Ilkow was returning home from the Ford Motor Co, Ltd. plant at Oakville, where he worked as an inspector. He worked with the firm 18 years. Mr. Ilkow died at the scene of the accident and his car, valued at $3,000, was wrecked. He was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Preston. Surviving is his wife, the former Irene Bukieda. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, where prayers will be recited Sunday night.
