  Mrs. Omer Baker GALT, Mrs. Omer Baker, 121 Ballantyne Ave., Galt, died suddenly, early today, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. She was 55. Mrs. Baker was the former Mary Regina Laplante and was born in Quebec City. She had resided in the Galt-Preston district for 25 years. She was a member of St. Ambrose RC Church and a member of the Catholic Women's League. She was predeceased by two sons. Surviving are her husband; one son, Marc Andre of Galt; five daughters, Mrs. William (Michaline) Welsh of Hamilton, Mrs. Gordon (Rejianne) Stewart of Oshawa, Lillian, Monica and Denise, all at home; two sisters in Quebec and one grandchild. The body will be at Little's Funeral Home, from Tuesday afternoon, until Thursday morning. Funeral mass will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be in Mountview cemetery.
